Digital Wallets
Securely store your ViaCU cards in your phone's digital wallet for quick checkouts when shopping in store or online. Making purchases easy, convenient and secure!
Paying with a digital wallet is safer than providing a retailer with your card number and PIN. With digital wallets, transactions are validated by a number that is unique to each device and card. This encrypted number is used to authorize purchases so your card number and PIN are never transferred or stored with the merchant, meaning they are less likely to be compromised.
Many smartphones offer fingerprint Touch ID or Face Recognition that can be used to authorize transactions. This means your digital wallet is available at the touch of your fingertips. There is no need to show additional ID, sign, or wait for the chip reader to complete the transaction.

Digital Wallets FAQ
A digital wallet is a contactless form of payment that allows you to use your mobile device to check out in store, in apps or online making purchases secure and convenient.
Setting up fingerprint recognition, face ID and/or password protection, can help make your device more secure. There are also apps (“Find My iPhone” for Apple or “Find My Mobile” for Samsung) available, that if installed prior to losing your phone, will allow you to remotely lock or erase data from your phone. You can also call ViaCU at 765.674.6631 to have your cards removed from digital wallets, allowing you to continue to use your plastic cards.
With digital wallets, transactions are validated by a number that is unique to each device and card. This encrypted number is used to authorize purchases so your card number and PIN are never transferred or stored with the merchant, meaning they are less likely to be compromised.
Digital wallets can be used anywhere contactless payments are accepted. Look for the contactless payment symbol at check out.
When your card expires it will be indicated in the digital wallet. You must delete the expired card and add your current card with the new expiration date and CVV.
